TITLE: Patience is Virtue
FANDOM: Firefly/Serenity (post-movie)
CHARACTERS/'SHIP: Inara Serra; Zoe Washburne; Inara/Zoe;
WORD COUNT: 100
SUMMARY: After the death of her husband Inara knows too well that Zoe needs a friend; Inara also knows that she needs to wait for Zoe to come to her.
A/N: went a searching and, I think, I found a word that covers Inara's feelings and Zoe needs, as well as their relationship as it has developed.
Zoe was no different from before her husband died.
Exceptin' the no off-time.
She cooked; which was shiny an' all, but it might as well be fei-oo for the joy there was.
Inara watched her die a little every day.
She was always there; watching; never off-ship for long, claiming Central Planets were best avoided.
Zoe smelt her fei-oo; Inara saw.
Zoe saw her watching too.
Inara just waited.
When she tired enough; Zoe took a walk.
Inara was on her bed.
"You been waitin' on me?"
Inara bowed her head gracefully, beckoning Zoe.
"Patience is virtue, airen."
May the Goddess watch over us all,
